This is advance notice that UKFN will once again be running a competition for the best Fluid Mechanics-themed doctoral thesis from the previous year. We will be asking examiners to nominate outstanding dissertations that were submitted during 2018, and details will follow soon on the UKFN website.

Subject: Short Research Visits (Final Reminder)
The UK Fluids Network runs a Short Research Visit (SRV) scheme, whereby any UK fluids researcher can apply for a small grant to cover travel and subsistence costs to visit another UK researcher or group. Full details on how to apply are given on the SRV page of the UKFN website https://fluids.ac.uk/srv; email any questions to srv@fluids.ac.uk. The deadline for applications is 31 January 2019.
